Cars in German City Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities stated they were contacted by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Around fifty automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Officers say they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they added.

Officers then located numerous other vandalized cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police say initial examinations show the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no indication as to its source; officials are currently not informed of any injuries in connection with the event," they stated.

City officials announced they were trying "to unravel the case" and have asked to the public for information.

A high-ranking political figure said the vandalism made him stunned and required to be resolved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on online, referring to the death of nine people by a shooter targeting individuals of migrant background in 2020.
